Unconfident Recruit Gets Cold Feet About Selling, Zips Up Hoodie

 

UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS – In a self-inflicted barrage of what-ifs, KU sophomore Xander Madison got cold feet about recently accepting an invitation to be part of a top sales organization representing a campus with a long history of top production and successful alumni. On Friday, Madison (pictured) chose to keep his worries to himself instead of communicating them to his student manager hoping that his concerns would “go away over the weekend” and declined attending the weekly team activity. Madison zipped up his hoodie and took the long way home, looking mostly at the sidewalk, as a motivated campus sales organization enjoyed fajitas and each other’s company on the patio of Las Maracas Mexican restaurant.

    I’m sure that will work out well for him. I usually find that if I don’t talk about my worries, but rather, suppress them, or just take time to think about them, they tend to diminish.
